One of the poems"The Endless Knot"is in the shape of a Celtic-like endless knot. The album is inscribed on the front endpaper"Margaret Foeller from her Friend Anne / Christmas 1851". The first poem is also dedicated to Mag from Annie. Other poems are signed with the following names: Sophia; C. R. E.; Addy; Fannie; Sallie; Charles; Maria; C. N. Cadwallader; Phil; Maggie; Sara; E.
